Announcing the Recipient of the 2018 Dinkelspiel Award: Joshua Joseph
Each year, the Federation’s Lloyd W. Dinkelspiel Award for Young Leadership recognizes a community member who is a consistent leader in our Federation volunteer community, has great potential for future leadership, and is 40 years old or younger. Please join us in congratulating this year’s recipient, Joshua Joseph!
Joshua’s involvement with the Federation began in 2013 when he was a board member of our Get Fed steering committee. He is currently a member of our Board of Directors and sits on our executive committee. Prior to these positions, Joshua participated in a round of our Impact Grants Initiative, served on our executive grantmaking committee, and has chaired our board nominating and governance committees.
Additionally, Joshua is a member of the Jewish Federations of North America emergency committee, serves on the board of the Jim Joseph Foundation, and has previously sat on the boards of AJC, Taube Philanthropies, and the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco. He is also an alumni of the Wexner Heritage Program.
Joshua has a deep commitment to tzedakah, to Jewish education, and to Jewish peoplehood, evidenced by the variety of organizations where he has invested his time, energy, and talent, taking on leadership roles and creating lasting impact.
Joshua was an English and Child Development double major at Tufts University, and holds an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. He is a Principal at Kiave Investments, and lives in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood with his wife and two daughters.
Please join us in honoring Joshua on Thursday, May 31, when we present him with the Lloyd W. Dinkelspiel Award for Young Leadership at the YAD 50th Anniversary Celebration.
