A Harvey Milkshake!

In celebration of California’s first annual Harvey Milk Day on Saturday, May 22 the Jewish Community Federation’s LGBT Alliance has teamed up with Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, San Francisco City Supervisor Bevan Dufty, and Harvey Milk’s nephew Stuart Milk to create a milkshake simply called a, "Harvey Milkshake."

As the country’s first openly gay Jewish political leader, Harvey Milk embodied the values of justice and equality that the LGBT Alliance seeks to promote. The Harvey Milkshake will be sampled on Saturday afternoon in San Francisco's Castro District. The Goldfader Dufty Family, Karen Bluestone, John Slater and folks at the LGBT Alliance helped conceive of the flavor and taste-test the recipe for the Harvey Milkshake at Ben & Jerry's Haight Ashbury Store!
