Helping to preserve the earth one diatom and polar bear at a time

The San Diego Jewish World ran a feature story today on Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award winner and environmentalist Ronit Abramson.  Despite her young age, Abramson has already founded a science research club, served as an Arctic Ambassador working to protect polar bears in light of global climate change, and has developed a method of measuring how much pharmaceutical residue ends up in our fresh water system. The Helen Diller Family Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Community Endowment Fund, will give Abramson and four other incredible teens $36,000 each next month for demonstrating their commitment to improving the world around them.
