Jews March Together for Pride- Stroller Chavurah!

Jews from all over the Bay Area are joining together to march as one community at this year's Pride celebration on Sunday, June 28, with the first "Jews March Together for Pride" contingent. If you are a family (of any configuration) with small children, you are especially invited to march with the "Stroller Chavurah" part of the Jews for Pride contingent. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a fun event, meet other Jewish families in the Bay Area, and express your commitment to working towards a society that is inclusive of all families.

The Stroller Chavurah will meet with the larger Jewish community on Sunday, June 28 at 9am at the Beale St. Bar & Grill, 133 Beale St (cross-street Mission), for a delicious, FREE breakfast and a trans-denominational blessing for justice and peace. Together this Jewish contingent will feature the overarching message: we are the Jewish community; we are diverse; we overwhelmingly support marriage equality. As you may know, more than 80% of Jews voted against Proposition 8, demonstrating our commitment to equality for all, and we want to continue to show our support for this important social issue. The Stroller Chavurah in the "Jews March for Pride" contingent is focused around small children, but older children, spouses/partners, aunts/uncles, nieces/nephews, grandparents and whoever else is important to your family is welcome to join us. Feel free to bring strollers, decorated or unadorned with you to the march. We would be delighted if you and your families could join in this exciting celebration. Thank you for marching with us!
