The Last Yiddish Poet -- 2-for-1 tickets

The Traveling Jewish Theatre (TJT) begins its 30th Anniversary Season with a revival of the award-winning play, "The Last Yiddish Poet." Hosted by a pair of irreverent, lost Jewish comedians, the story follows a mythical “Last” Yiddish poet on a journey through his own past. In it, audiences will recognize all the elements that have made TJT synonymous with adventurous and powerful theatre: vivid characters leapfrogging through a landscape full of humor and deep emotion; music, giant puppets and dynamic physicality. Tickets to the show are running $45 for opening night, and $34 on the ones the follow, but thanks to TJT, we can get you in the door for $9 a person! Here's the deal:  On November 6-8, 2008, the TJT is hosting three preview nights.  Those shows are already discounted, but thanks to our half-price promotion code, you can see this play for less than a cost of a movie ticket.  The code is TJT50. Order your tickets online or or by phone: 415.292.1233. Our coupon only works for the preview nights, but in case you can't make it in then, the show officially opens on November 9, and runs until December 14. All performances are at: Traveling Jewish Theatre, 470 Florida St in San Francisco. (map) There is more information at the TJT website: http://jewishtheatre.atjt.com
