Meet the Berman Family of Tiburon

Rachel Berman moved to the Bay Area from Boca Raton, FL in 2017 and currently lives in Tiburon with her daughters Rafaela (6) and Soleia (2). Rachel loves to read PJ Library books with her girls, and especially around the holidays. Both Rafaela and Soleia cannot wait to open their PJ Library envelopes each month! In the lead up to Rosh Hashanah this year, Soleia loved reading Sammy Spiders First Book of Jewish Holidays with her mom. Rachel appreciates that “this delightful book helps my daughters learn more about holiday traditions.”

Rachel is an educator and realized her passion for early childhood development while teaching Mommy and Me classes in Florida. After moving to Tiburon, Rachel became a teacher at the Osher Marin JCC Preschool where she was inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of experiential learning through play, music, art, and movement. Recently, Rachel became the new owner and Director of Ark Row Kids in Tiburon, a preschool enrichment center that provides a Reggio-inspired environment for children to learn and grow.

The Berman family belongs to Kol Shofar in Tiburon where Rachel teaches the kindergarten Sunday School class, and the family has made close friendships in this caring community.

Rachel is our new PJ Library Parent Connector in Marin!

As the new PJ Library Parent Connector in the Southern Marin area, Rachel is actively building a community for families with kids from 0-3 years old. She looks forward to creating long-lasting friendships, celebrating holidays, and building community for local families with young children.
