Send us photos from your Bay Area synagogue

Synagogues are where folks wish you Mazel Tov on the eve of your marriage, celebrate a son’s bris, and dance alongside a daughter’s bat mitzvah.  It’s where people laugh with you, care for you in times of hardship, and mourn a death like it was their own. Our Bay Area neighborhood synagogues continue to be a welcoming gateway to generations who value Judaism’s traditions, rich in ceremony and meaning.  That’s why the Jewish Community Federation (JCF) continues to partner with them on programs that help strengthen Jewish identity, support education and provide inspirational cultural activities. By working together, we multiply our impact -- sharing in each other’s joys and sorrows, and preserving tradition for our future grandchildren. This year, the JCF plans to pay tribute to our spiritual homes at our Annual Meeting on June 11, and we’re asking for your help in collecting synagogue photos:

  • Photos can be of faces, buildings, life-cycle events (weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, circumcisions), celebrations, dancing, holidays (we have plenty from Purim, but still need High Holiday and Passover photos).
  • Please note that we have many pictures from San Francisco's Congregation Emanu-El, and need to get additional photos from congregations in our service area.

BTW, you are also welcome to join us for our 99th Annual Meeting.  Details are available at: www.sfjcf.org/go/am09 Thank you.
