Welcome to our new website!
Dear Federation Friends,
On behalf of our Federation, I am proud to announce the launching of our new website at www.JewishFed.org. In helping to lead the revitalization of our Jewish community, one of our goals is to remove barriers to Jewish engagement. With our dedicated volunteers, staff and partners, this site functions as an online kehilla, a nucleus of Jewish life, making it easier for you to join our community, find ways to participate, take action and make an impact.
Throughout this site, you'll get a first-hand experience on how we catalyze innovative programs and services, foster leadership, construct funding strategies and provide vital resources for individuals, families and community needs locally, in Israel and world-wide. Guided by a century of Jewish values, the Jewish Community Federation and its Endowment Fund work daily to harness the power of communal giving and infuse philanthropy with meaning. It's how we continue to strengthen and build our community, ensuring the continuity of the Jewish people.
Here are some of the site's great new features:
Meet people with similar interests Learn more about networking, get involved in an interactive community forum, attend a group event and make new friends. View our Jewish community calendar Our newly designed community calendar makes it easy to see all the events happening in the community, volunteer, post an event or find one in your area. Read our blog Be a part of the conversation on our blog, get up-to-the-minute news on what's happening at the Federation, and read about issues in our local community and world-wide. Search the community guide Looking for a synagogue or kosher restaurant? This community guide is the Jewish yellow pages that will give you all the information you need. See how and who we help Thousands of generous donors make up our Jewish community. See how their dollars make a local and global impact by viewing the people we help and the programs we support. Join us on Facebook and Twitter Get connected by following the Federation on Facebook and Twitter. We hope you're as excited as we are to have this valuable resource and powerful tool. With your continued generosity this website will be a platform for engaging our next generation as well as showcasing our significant collective efforts in caring for the basic well-being of fellow human beings (tzedakah) and enacting our communal responsibility to help repair the world (tikkun olam). Thank you for your support, Jennifer Gorovitz CEO, Jewish Community FederationCategories: Community
