Ellen Kahn
As a community leader and professional advisor, Ellen Kahn is a highly accomplished and recognized expert in her field. Ms. Kahn is the first woman managing partner of Sideman & Bancroft LLP, a San Francisco law firm with 28 attorneys. She has been with the firm for 27 of its 32 years in business.
Ms. Kahn will be participating in the Interactive Panel Discussion in the Afternoon Session of the JCEF 2009 Annual Tax Seminar. She’s listed in Northern California Super Lawyers®; 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009; in the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® in the specialty of Trusts and Estates; and in 2009 was named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Business. A past board member of the Jewish Community Federation, Ms. Kahn is a recipient of Federation’s Lloyd Dinkelspiel Young Leadership Award and was a 1996 Wexner Heritage Fellow.

Advice for young women: Love what you do, work hard, set goals.
Strategy for success in a tough economy: Eliminate debt and reduce costs, work harder than before, be prepared to make tough decisions; be bold, be innovative.
What makes you influential: I am passionate about my work, my clients, and creating a productive and respectful workplace. I work hard to make a difference in the lives of those around me.
