The Federation’s annual 473K Belonging Experience — named for the number of people in Bay Area Jewish households — has evolved into a year-long, free, virtual workshop series on topics that matter most to organizational leaders and require new approaches to embrace everyone in our diverse communities.

473K is intended for:

  • Professional and lay leadership of Jewish organizations
  • Clergy
  • Development professionals
  • Board members
  • Jewish entrepreneurs/start-ups
  • People leading Jewish engagement and/or DEIB work in the Jewish world

The sixth workshop in the series focuses gathering with intention. Venue, food, entertainment, speaker, and the “schmooze.”  Sometimes the most important qualities of an event are forgotten. How will people connect with each other and our organization? Will they feel it mattered they were there? Using Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) lenses, let’s reinvent events!
