Honorees:
Michael A. Jacobs
Mr. Jacobs co-chairs Morrison & Foerster’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, serving as co-lead counsel in recent highly-publicized intellectual property battles, including a high-profile smartphone case leading to a $1 billion jury verdict. Mr. Jacobs is recognized nationally and regionally for his Intellectual Property expertise, as well as for his consistent outstanding customer service. He received a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Yale Law School.

Mr. Jacobs’ commitment to the Jewish values of tzedek (justice) and tikkun olam (repairing the world) are illustrated through the victories he’s achieved in his pro bono work, including efforts that led California to address conditions in the state’s lowest performing schools. He also represented the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) and the Anti-Defamation League in a successful pre-election challenge to an anti-circumcision initiative.

Since 1998, Mr. Jacobs has served in numerous leadership roles on the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund’s Board of Directors, in addition to serving as president of the JCRC Board of Directors.
