Interfaith Gathering Against Hate

Love Your Neighbor as Yourself!

In collaboration with our partners at the Jewish Community Relations Council, the San Francisco Interfaith Council, the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, we are planning a special interfaith Shabbat service in response to the gathering in San Francisco of hate groups on Saturday, August 26 at Crissy Field.

This will be neither a reaction nor a confrontation, but an affirmation of love, community, and diversity. We invite all community members, including the entire San Francisco Jewish and interfaith community, to join us for a very special interfaith peace and justice Shabbat service at Congregation Emanu-El on Friday, August 25.

5:30 - 6:30 pm Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments

6:30 - 7:45 pm Interfaith Shabbat service followed by dessert reception

It is our responsibility to put safety first. Please expect enhanced security to enter our building. In order to expedite the process, we encourage all guests not to bring bags.
