Lest We Forget
Presented by the Goethe-Institut San Francisco and the Consulate General of the Republic of Germany, San Francisco
Lest We Forget is a Holocaust remembrance project by the German-Italian photographer and filmmaker Luigi Toscano. The outdoor exhibition is a temporary display at San Francisco's Civic Center Plaza featuring 68 oversized portraits of living Holocaust survivors. Small information panels complete the installation.
The work has previously been displayed at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC and UN Headquarters in New York City. Additional displays are planned for major cities throughout the US.
