You’ll fall for this virtual concert experience. It features love songs from the American Song Book, jazz standards, musicals, film soundtracks and more.

Get ready for that heart-fluttering feeling. Musician and vocalist Ben Brussel will perform a range of legendary love songs, drawing from nostalgic favorites. Using rich accompanying band and orchestral recordings as a sound backdrop, he’ll sing and play mandolin and flugelhorn for an unforgettable experience.

Ben Brussell is a native San Franciscan and has been a professional music producer, composer, band leader, vocalist, violinist, mandolinist, trumpeter, session player, concert performer and teacher for over three decades. Ben is the founder of the world music ensembles Sirba and KLEZMANIA! and the classical string quartet Luna Nova Quartet. Ben’s love for the mandolin and violin has a deep family connection. His grandfather emigrated from Russia in the 1920’s and performed on violin and viola and was “the call” for mandolin in Hollywood film sessions from the late 1920s through the early 1980s. Ben had the honor of being the only classical mandolinist invited to perform during the San Francisco Symphony’s chamber music festival, the “Serenade for Mandolin and Viola,” by Giovanni Hoffman. Ben composed, conducted, and premiered his “Americana Hymns Medley,” with 60-piece San Francisco State University Wind Ensemble.
