Kick off the new school year and the Jewish New Year at the JCCSF! Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, celebrates the preciousness of our lives and begins a ten-day period of self-reflection that culminates with Yom Kippur. Join us to prepare for a season of transitions with live music, a handmade card station, hands-on activities, and tasty treats. All are welcome at this event for all ages!

Alphabet Rockers, based in Oakland, make music that makes change. Led by Kaitlin McGaw (she/her) and Tommy Shepherd (he/him), they create brave spaces to shape a more equitable world through hip hop. Their Grammy-nominated 2018 album, Rise Shine #Woke, has reached 300,000 families since its release, inspiring American kids to stand up to hate and be their brave and beautiful selves. Their latest album, The Love, lifts the voices of our trans, two-spirit and gender non-conforming community.
JCCSF's 23rd annual food drive!
Bring non-perishable food items to support our friends at Jewish Family and Children Services. JFCS Food Pantries offer nutritious, high-protein food to seniors on fixed incomes, adults with disabilities, young families with low incomes, and other individuals and families facing temporary crises. They are collecting canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, tuna fish, whole grains, cereals, and pasta.
