The Bay Area’s Federation Leads Response with 2023 Israel Emergency Fund
Contributions will support victims of terror and address unprecedented levels of trauma
San Francisco, CA – The San Francisco-based Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund (the Federation) opened an Israel Emergency Fund to support emergency medical needs, relocation, unprecedented levels of trauma, and other services to victims of terror. 100% of donations to the Fund will go directly to urgent humanitarian needs.
The Federation is leading the Bay Area collective response to meet immediate needs as they arise. We are working with longtime, on-the-ground partners including the Israel Trauma Coalition, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and Jewish Agency for Israel. Visit the Federation’s website at www.jewishfed.org to give.
“The Federation stands in solidarity with the people of Israel,” said CEO Joy Sisisky. “We are the central address in the Jewish community for support during humanitarian crises and emergencies. After these heinous attacks, our hearts break and we are called to action once again. The Israeli people need all of us to give generously now--and we will.”
As the Bay Area’s center for Jewish philanthropy, the Federation mobilizes urgent relief during crises from Ukraine to Maui to Israel.
