Statement by Jennifer Gorovitz on Ukrainian Crisis

San Francisco, CA – Today, Jennifer Gorovitz, CEO of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties, issued the following statement on the unfolding crisis in Kiev, Ukraine:

“Along with the rest of the world, I am deeply troubled by the bloodshed and instability in Ukraine. I hope that the tentative accords will mean an end to violence and allow security and human rights for all. The Bay Area Jewish community stands in solidarity with Kiev’s Jewish community, which suffers along with the rest of Kiev through this crisis, and we support the efforts of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee on the ground to ensure that our most frail elderly continue to receive critical medical and food supplies, as well as in-home services to meet their needs during these turbulent times.”
