Save a Child's Heart

On January 13, 2009, Hillel at Stanford held an opening event for the Save a Child's Heart (SACH) photo exhibit. SACH is an Israeli-based international humanitarian organization that  works to provide urgently needed pediatric heart durgery and follow-up care for children in developing countries. SACH is totally dedicated to the idea that every child deserves the best medical treatment available, regardless of the child's nationality, religion, color, gender or financial situation. The opening event, which was attended by 50 students, included dinner, opening words by Israeli Deputy Consul General Ismail Khaldi, a talk by a Pediatric Cardiologist, and a documentary and presentation by Shirlee Harel, the student leadership director at SACH in Israel.  Photos from the exhibition are available at: www.saveachildsheart.org/452-en/Sach.aspx
