Federation staffer returns from Haiti!
We are relieved to report that Jewish Community Federation staff member Ruth Bender has just returned safely from Haiti. She was in Haiti on vacation when the devastating 7.0 earthquake struck on January 12, 2010. To learn more about Ruth's experiences:
The Federation donated $10,000 to help relief efforts in Haiti, and our donors have reported to us that as of today, they have already given over $55,000 through American Jewish World Service (AJWS), The American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) and Partners in Health.
