Honoring Your Legacy

The Centennial Living Legacy Society recognizes visionary donors who have committed themselves to the future of our Jewish community.

Including the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund in your estate plan or establishing a permanent fund during your lifetime establishes you as a Living Legacy Society member.

Members:

  • Are acknowledged at Federation events and receive invitations to special programs for legacy donors, including the Day of Philanthropy.
  • Have their names included in the print and digital Living Legacy Society Honor Roll, so that others may be inspired by their example.
  • Receive our annual publication highlighting programs supported with legacy gifts and profiling generous donors who have similarly chosen to provide for our community after their lifetimes.
  • Are invited to inscribe a personal message in The Book of Life. Messages underscore members’ commitment to the future and preserve the beliefs and achievements of those who came before for those yet to come.

The Book of Life is a unique treasury that recognizes members’ foresight and generosity by documenting ideals and motivations for keeping our Jewish community vibrant and strong. Messages permanently record personal thoughts, stories and values that inspired Jewish connection and philanthropy, to be shared with future generations. The Book of Life, now in its second volume, is a magnificent work of art designed by renowned Bay Area artist Joseph Goldyne, and is prominently displayed in the Federation’s building at 121 Steuart Street in San Francisco.
