Developing a Vision – Becoming Vision Driven
- Congregation B'nai Emunah of San Francisco (Conservative): Creating a system to ensure that events and programs are aligned with and further CBE's mission and vision.
- Congregation Rodeph Shalom of San Rafael (Reform): Developing a system to track their program pilots to ensure maximum learning and accessibility.
- Congregation Sherith Israel of San Francisco (Reform): Defining a new lay structure to support implementation of their strategic plan and improve the effectiveness of volunteer engagement.
- Congregation Shomrei Torah of Santa Rosa (Reform): Exploring the key factors that have defined their success to date and analyzing the implications for their future.
Measuring and Evaluating Success
- Congregation Emanuel of San Francisco (Reform): Developing measures of successful congregant engagement and utilizing the measures to determine where to invest resources.
- Congregation Etz Chayim of Palo Alto (Independent): Identifying measures of meaningful engagement and incorporating measures to evaluate pilot projects.
- Congregation Kol Shofar of Tiburon (Conservative): Identifying quantifiable measurements that correlate with "success."
- Member Engagement through Relational Judaism.
- Congregation Beth Jacob of Redwood City (Conservative): Developing a system to measure and track congregant engagement to be used to reach out to individual congregants to deepen their experiences.
- Peninsula Congregation Sinai of Foster City (Conservative): Developing practices and systems to increase member engagement and member experience with Judaism.
- Peninsula Temple Beth El of San Mateo (Reform): Developing their Empty Nesters community centered around engagement and retention of this key and growing population.
Unique Projects
- Congregation Adath Israel of San Francisco (Orthodox): Working to strengthen their membership practices through an innovative Social Media Project. They are getting guidance through the Federation’s Pro Bono Consulting Practice.
- Congregation Beth Am of Los Altos Hills (Reform): Creating a new task force to discuss forces shaping the synagogue of the future. This task force will be composed of people who are not currently in congregational leadership positions in order to bring in fresh thinking and break down old assumptions.
- Congregation Beth Israel Judea of San Francisco (Reform): Developing strategies for transitioning leadership roles and strengthening the connection between the board of directors and the community.
- Congregation Ner Tamid of San Francisco (Conservative): Working to deepen its relationship with the Aleph Bet School, a partner school for Russian Jewish families with young children.
