POSITION SUMMARY 

Under the direction of the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Planning Analyst will have budgeting and reporting responsibilities, as well as perform financial analyses as requested to support decision-making throughout the organization. He/she will support Federation personnel from a financial perspective as they administer the programs of the Federation. In addition, this position will maintain financial databases, build and maintain forecast models, and ensure that the reporting structure and format reflect the organization’s strategic point of view.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  • Performs quantitative analysis of operational and financial data
  • Builds and manages financial databases by organizing and analyzing a wide range of data sources
  • Prepares financial reports for internal use at the company by collecting, analyzing, formatting, and presenting information
  • Evaluates new projects and investment opportunities by comparing them with each other
  • Builds budgets and forecasts of future company performance
  • Builds and maintains a corporate financial model that details the entire company’s operations and projects future performance
  • Performs ad hoc analysis for executives as required

EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; (CPA or advanced degree is a plus)
  • Minimum of  5 years of experience with report generation, analysis, and financial systems; experience in both Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting teams preferred

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSES)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid project management experience
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills required
  • Strong in developing graphs, charts, and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Strong track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines
  • The ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced, work-oriented environment
  • Comfort working individually and in a team environment
  • Comfort working in a small team, “get your hands dirty” environment
