Philanthropic Education

Education, Connection, Collaboration.

Our community is rich in connection, and by bringing together like-minded philanthropists we create opportunities for learning and engagement.

Day of Philanthropy
This signature Federation event brings together donors, leaders, and professionals to explore issues that impact philanthropy today. It’s an opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate our collective impact. The event includes a community luncheon honoring local leaders, keynote speakers, and workshops/roundtables.

Topics in Philanthropy Workshops
Our Topics in Philanthropy workshops bring philanthropy advisors to your organization for customizable sessions designed to help donors think about their giving, how their family can be involved, what the possibilities might be in their community and beyond.
We also offer workshops for financial professionals seeking to learn more about philanthropic planning in order to help clients amplify the impact of their giving.

Special Events
Throughout the year, Federation Philanthropy Partners convenes special events for donors. Our Food for Thought series features intimate dinners with dynamic social change leaders at top Bay Area restaurants. Our larger events have featured luminaries such as Sir Ronald Cohen, the impact investing pioneer and Robbie Kaplan, the groundbreaking attorney fighting hate groups responsible for the 2017 attacks in Charlottesville, VA. These events are designed to inspire, educate, and bring together our donor community.

Collaborative Philanthropy
Our Collaborative Philanthropy programs inform, educate, and build networked communities of philanthropists driven by Jewish values. Collaborative philanthropy offers experiential, collaborative grantmaking where issue-area and/or identity-based philanthropic grant-making inspires Jewish donors to engage in new and creative philanthropic pursuits. Current programs include the Jewish Women’s Fund and the Jewish Pride Fund.
